This is exactly how I have money. I'm shrewd, by pretty much everything off brand, and have some very nice toys and spare cash as a result.

It works, I just do not have it wired, I was too busy doing case arrangement. See those USB and video ports? Those are only there for testing, they will be cut off later.

I second that question. Also, are you using 4 "hailrazer" battery cells? I am curious what the Wii's power consumption is....

i have that same exact battery pack. i think its value just went up. (palmer has one too! oh boy!!)

Uses Classic controller, lets me use Wii menu. Also has a GC controller wired to the same buttons. The wiimote, as you can see, is wired sideways inside, so I can play games like Mario Kart that use tilting.

That said... I have a more elegant solution for motion tracking, but you guys will have to wait till summer to see it. Not going to make an appearance here.

The cells are from the Energizer 18000 external laptop battery pack. They had them on Woot for $80 a few weeks back, I would totally buy more if they have them.

Finally some more progress! Loos sweet palmer, can't wait for it to be finished.


What would've been cool though is if the screen was put on a vertical swivel, that way when you tilt the controller for steering the screen stays straight. This portable shall be epic.


BTW what are the mAh of those batteries? And have you measured the wii's draw yet?
