If no one saw my edit, I can't buy off this site...
eurdrue: I know that...But I can mod a GBA battery pack to work, right?
Yep, should be same voltage! Probably just rechargeable AA's in there though.
Yes.

Rechargeable battery packs for the CGB and GBA are essentially the same thing.
Two rechargeable batteries in a little plastic case.
Pretty simple...

So how exactly do I mod it to work?
Cut it up, get rid of what you don't need, keep what you do, slap it in the CGB.

I can't exactly give you a real tutorial, seeing as how I don't have a rechargeable GBA pack to do it to, and as most are different.
But really, it's very easy and very straightforward.

I don't have one either... where di you say I can get one? I really am a noob when it comes to electronics. Does anyone know of a tutorial of how to do this? I can't find one here or on benheck.

There won't be a tutorial out there for this.

eStarland has a cheapo one here.
Yes, it's used, but it'll be fine.
The cheapest shipping they have is $4.00, bringing the total to $8.95 shipped.
You can't hardly even beat that on eBay.

And to be honest, if you can't figure this kind of thing out on your own, it's probably going to be over your head.
But, it is relatively simple, and it won't be a bad place to start.

Now, I wouldn't mind having one for my CGBs, so I'm gonna do something for you hear and grab one myself.
When it comes in, I'll take pictures and make a nice, simple tutorial on converting it for use on a CGB.

Probably... :ashamed:

That would be nice

Also, eStarland has a VERY COOL trade-in program.

So, if you have junk lying around, and they have it on their site, you can go find it, hit trade-in, and it'll deduct it from your total.
Then, when they send you your stuff, you also get a box and a label.
Throw in your crap, send it off.

Great way to get cheap stuff.
I usually toss in some N64 junk (because I have so bloody much) whenever I order from them.

This brings me to my final question. Yes the last part of a 9 page thread! :omg:
What type of paint should I use to paint my CGB? Should I use primer or gloss?

Use Krylon Fusion. Never used it myself, but I hear it's a good brand of paint.

This is true.
Krylon Fusion is one of a small handful of paints that will actually "fuse" with the plastic.
You can't just "scratch it off" or anything like that.

While this doesn't cover the use of Krylon Fusion, it's still a good tutorial.

Thank you. Oh yeah, one more thing. This isn't actually a mod on the system, but how do I put a LED in a GBC or GBA cartridge so that it only comes on when the game is in and the system is on. I believe palmertech did this, but, no tutorial...

Really, really, really, really, really easy.

You can ignore most of that.
But you see the places for +5v and Gnd?
Yeah, told you it was easy.
Just be sure to hook up the correct resistor depending on the LED you're using.

Wow, that is easy. Even for me. But, is this on a GBC or GBA cartridge? Is there some sort of formula or table on how to figure out what resistor I'll need?

Both!

Many.
I use this.
In this case, your supply voltage is 5 volts.
It's very easy to use.

This is why I love eStarland.

I'm earning 5 cents.

And yeah, they'll give you $1.20 for an N64 Jumper Pack.
I can get those things for free from my local used games store.
