PocketCube Worklog

Ok, drilled my vents, shoulder buttons, SD card slots, power, WKF button, and a headphone jack. One last time, should I do a two tone or not?

I really like how more people are soldering directly to the wiikey mobo :)
Good job!

I honestly find it to be SO MUCH easier than using the cable with Ashens method (no offense master Ashen).

I can get the wiikey to work on the first try soldering directly to the board and timing myself, I can do it in a half hour.

Bump, I just got my new board, cut it, and it doesnt work...

EDIT: HUGE PICS FTW

Nice work! Couple questions.
1. In the first pic, what are those large yellow wires attached to the components in the middle of the board? I've seen that done a few times now and I have no idea what they're for.
2. Where did you get your case? How much did it cost? Or perhaps it was a sample?

They are power wires.

Nuke, what exactly is not working? Do the chips get hot?

Yea chips get pretty hot, and the AV chip gets pretty hot as well. I tried getting video from a bunch of places, and I just cant seem to get a signal.

Thanks guys! And yea, that memcard is huge. But eh, I dont need that much space anyway.

Hmm, Im having some problems with SD gecko. When I load up swiss, it says "loading from slot B" or something, and just doesnt go any further than that. I waited like 2 minutes and still nothing. I know my wiring is good, my card it formatted fat32 and its 16gb.
