DONT BURN THIS ONE!
but seriously good luck, dont get too cocky. I've burnt a few boards just being careless with checking things.

Progress! Wired up the batteries and the red light came on! victory #1 tomorrow I'll go for the screen and cartridge slot (which is now 1/2 done)

:D

well... at least SOME sort of power is getting to the n64.... did you really not plug it into a tv to test?!?

Cut off the port so I can wire that up today. expect progress by the end of the day!

what are you trying to power it off of... you should really make sure your voltages are right before hooking them up to the n64

>.> I know what Im doing, Ive done my research.... Im just not the best at soldering.

Boards can be finicky about what voltages they'll take. Just because the little red light comes on does not mean that the board is working. Also, treat the project like you would a science experiment. If you manipulate too many variables at once. You're going to end up scratching your head, not knowing what went wrong.
