Using VGA ram heatsinks

could i use vga ram heatsinks like the ones i linked above to cover the chips on the n64 mobo? i watched bacterias video's and in the first one he said you could, though he decided to use this giant chunk of copper instead haha.

just wondering what different opinions are regarding this... thanks

His copper didn't work, you can use vga ram, and don't listen to a word that bacteria says, half of it is garbage.

hahaha seriously? that's upsetting, he's like the only person on the interweb with a step by step video guide... :/

Well, half of it is his own little personal opinions that are totally wrong due to him being a big flop, like the single cored wire or the 30 guage, wiring straight to the motherboard chips and folding over that portion of his n64. He has the whole thing wrongly opinionated and it can be made much better.
I think it is better to learn for yourself what to do by understanding everything instead of using his guides, so you can have your own personal preferences on things.

Well, you should try searching for some vga copper heatsinks, google is full of really cheap ones, like these:

I vaguely remember reading that diamonds are best for heatsinks.

I think there's a diamond dust thermal compound floating about as well.

Diamonds are best when it comes to dispersing heat and cooling. There was a thread a little while ago on heatsinks, on my iPod so I'm not gonna bother looking for it
