Get the LiMnNi cells. They're like 4Ah and are inexpensive (~$10 I think).
Lithium Magnesium Nickel? Never used em, but I think they have a lower cycle life, right?

Also, toasty, 8ah 7.4v, whats the size?

@Sam
From the site: "80% of initial capacity at 1000 cycles"
Most of the other batteries have a cycle life of >500 times. I don't know about the 4700 or 5000mAh ones though.

1000 @1c rate. Im not sure how that equates at a higher rate, but it should be epic. I wish I could buy single cells.

Sorry for double post but I wanted to post again :p I'm thinking of doing a wireless breakout box for controllers using a transceiver on the data lines.

Which leads me to my question. Could I theoretically program an IC to combine the data lines of the controllers, then send the single data line through ONE transceiver in the unit to another transceiver in the breakout box. The signal would then go into another IC to separate the 4 signals. I know it's possible, my main concern is the difficulty level (I have no experience programming IC's) and a delay/data corruption risk this might introduce.

Got the batteries. They're small. I'm gonna sand all the paint off and send it to Ish. I painted the stencil he made me on there, but I was bad at it, and messed up, and stuff. I want this to look good, so I'm just going to send it to him, because he's Ish, and he can do it right. I also thought of cool things which you'll hopefully see pics of next week.

This will be one the most epic portables ever. The TB in the middle is a nice touch.

Fun update. Kinda. Got my case back :awesomeish: Here's some pics. I guess I was using a different texture paint because Ish's feels very smooth whereas mine was more of a grainy feel.

:D Next thing up is to mount the controls and screen and stuff. I'll do all that soon. Still gotta cut the ethernet port hole for the breakout box.
