Re: Toast's 2nd N64

Having second thoughts about the batteries. I can fit the ones I have in right now but just barely. I have to relocate the tall caps on the screen for it to fit. I can fit those 4700maH ones in there length and width-wise but I think they'll get in the way of the shoulder buttons if they're stacked.

Re: Toast's 2nd N64

I found that relocating those caps was a pain in the ass, but that's just me. Couldn't desolder the *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ers.

Re: Toast's 2nd N64

If you're RCPing, that is too big of a case. You could possibly fit a normally relocated n64 in there.

I have gotten the board to fit without RCP, but just BARELY. Pics soon. I've had to trim right down to the pin holes for the cart slot on top and right down to exp pak slot, which I've now desoldered. Soon I'll desolder the RAM chips for a RAM swap (ChipQuik works wonders). I was going to relocate the U8, but I saw no point, seeing as the board fits if I trim it right up to the U8 pins. This way I only have to relocate 3 wires on the bottom (Ground, 3.3v, and P1 signal. Not planning on having any outputs for this one because I have no room in the case.)

I've got some paint coming in the mail. I'm just going to paint it matte black, but with a little surprise on the back ::3:

You don't know the surprise ::3:

Here's some pics

How it fits in the case. As you can see, BARELY fits.

And it seems as though the standard 4700maH batteries have been replaced by cells the same size but are 5000maH. I clicked on a link to the 4700's and it redirected me to the 5000's and it looks to have the same dimensions. I can't find the 4700 batteries anywhere on the site.

EDIT: Dang it. Looks like they're out of stock :/
