OSSIM STUFF ON PG 17! Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

Make sure to use a lot of hot glue on the inside to back up the controller flanks, when you sand down that jb weld it won't have a good grip on flat plastic. It will definitely need to be glued on the inside to support it. (at least from my experience with jb weld, unless you know something I don't :p )

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

I do. See where the controller meets with the case at the top? Brackets. Also, I need to add some more epoxy and I'll have it smooth and sanded, it won't be a flat right angle on the back, it'll be a curve. There'll be plenty of support, plus I'm going to be epoxying the mobo on to the back of the case, so there's more support. I might run a metal bracket across the back too. Either way, just some epoxy was just fine for my 1st GCp, so there is no way this thing'll break!

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

Awesome, glad you planned it out that far.

Now please just don't use tact switches. :dah:

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

I don't like how the flanks are turning out. :evil2:

I'm going to install an exploit into my soldering iron that'll let me run a modified epoxy file so I can use this to my advantage and run me some advanced cart slot covers.

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

So are you losing the flanks all together?
THANK GOD.

This is exactly the portable I've been begging you to build.

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

I was going to have the exact same design on some portable I was thinking about.(but probably will never be able to do)

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

Oh yeah, so what's the name about? You gonna try a special paint job?

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

I put on 6 layers of paint. It's not done yet, there are still a few infirmities in the case.

Also I gotta build myself an audio amp and cut some screens holes and switch/power jack holes too.

Re: Worklog: The TriSixtyFource

But it still is looking far sexier than previous projects, SS. I love it. The SL-68p is so comfortable to hold. And it's pocketable. In case anyone else is wondering, the SL-68p is almost exactly the same size as a DMG.
