SS, if you need a connector with a lot of pins, go for a card-edge connector. Basically what the n64 and most cartridges use. Heck, use an n64 cart slot and cart bottom.

@mario, I revised that circuit earlier today. Forget the two ceramic caps and the electrolytic one, just a single coil and diode work better.

Can't get snes controller to work on the same contacts as n64 buttons When hooked up it constantly presses the button.

Double console idea is moot, any idea's for what I should do with the ports?

I would have recommended vga, you can use the outer shielding as a pin so it would be 16 pins.

Awesome, SS, that's the filtering I had already.

Also, see the new LOB64 standard. I did some testing, and you need to have the slave and master N64's on at the same time. So, just don't add a switch to turn the N64 off.
