I believe that I'm IP blocked. I was able to get on not too long ago without a proxy, but now I have to again. I've been blocked for quite some time now, besides that one day not too long ago.

Those aren't recent, they happen on active nights. Blame hostgator.

Yup, this is a system variable- aka "Hostgator's end". MR is limited to a certain number of connections at once- probably less than the default of 151, and/or perhaps shared with a few other sites. Remember that loading a page can be multiple connections, depending on how it's coded. Doumentation for those curious.
