using Max safe DD points on almostWTF?

I'm making a portable and I was wondering if you could still use the max safe disc drive relocation points on an almostWTF cut?

It doesn't seem like they wouldn't work, is there anybody who has successfully done this?

It seems like it should work to me.... Unless we cut the traces for them on another layer. I'm getting my wiikey soonish, I'll try it out and tell you what happens.
