so i am wondering how you make a power jack on your n64ps. can you just solder the orginal jack through wires the the pins with my batteries wires on it?

so on my n64p there are 5 cells wired in a series and i started charging them when all of a sudden they stopped outputting anything. all wiring is good but wont power anything...does anyone know how to fix this??
