The other day I got a Radioshack TRS-80 (super old computer) ~ 4$, A wireless N router ~ 5$, and a Super Joy 3 ~ 10$ all from the DI (mainly in Utah thrift store)

Just a boring model 1. The best part about it is now I have a commodore 64, a TI-99/4A, and a TRS-80. Wish I could have gotten a special edition. When I was much younger and didn't know anything about anything, I saw a Commodore SX-64 there for 10$. So much stuff has passed through that place and I didn't pick it up because I was ignorant *cough*imlookingatyouoscilloscope*cough*

Neo Geo MV1-FS motherboard (not quite the largest ugliest Neo Geo 1 slot, but close!) fer free. The following Neo Geo MVS carts: King of Fighters '99, King of Fighters '03, Captain Tomaday (AWESOME! MVS gamers, if you don't have this one, get it) and World Heros. (I don't much care for that game.) All for free! I was pestering a local arcade manager to sell me some old MVS games. He didn't speak English, I don't speak Korean, so I think he just handed me a pile of games so I'd go away. I later bought a Crowin (that's spelled right) "candy cab" from the same guy for about $250. It's in great shape, but being a Crowin, it's the Kia of candy cabs lol. Made of MDF, has crappy, non standard-sized buttons and sticks... So yeah, it's my most prized possession. Also picked up a Xbox 360 with the big hard drive. 250 Jigawatts or whatever they're called. It was supposedly broken, but in reality it was just so filthy it decided to go on strike. Works fine now. Well, I guess that's it. Oh! And a Puzzle Bobble cart for Neo Geo. It was tossed in for free with some other crap I bought on Ebay.

For just a few more weeks, then I'm back to America. I don't know any Airmen here and its unlikely that he is stationed at the same base as me. Still got me kind of excited when I saw he was here, though.Zero said:

went to the local retro game store today to buy an nes game genie. just for the heck of it decided to see if the copy of pinball priced for $2 had a famicom adapter and everything looked to check out (5 screws, off center pins). Got home and bingo! it was. Good thing I didn't buy one on ebay for $25 like I was about to the other day.

Best Buy knocked the price on the car stereo I've been thinking of buying down from $90 to $60 this week so I grabbed it. Now to buy the stuff that'll make it fit in my car!

Pfft, just hook it up and set it in the dash. That's what I did when I was home this summer. We'd recently bought our Escape, no aux-in on the radio and no easy way to add it, and we had a 12 hour each way drive to Los Angeles and back. I pulled the single-DIN Pioneer head unit from my parent's Civic and set it in the double-DIN hole in the Escape. Left it that way for about a month after getting back, until my parents wanted their radio back.Twilight Wolf said:
