ok so i'm starting to work on this project. I plan on building a gcp in two halves. But right now i'm only concentrating on the controller/screen halve.
Since it has composite input it is not exclusive to the gc, meaning that this halve can be used on a wii :awesome: (as for the controller)
I don't know yet if i'll use a wavebird or a corded controller, i'll decide when i look inside a wavebird.
And i don't really know if the usb part is a good idea, or even doable.

so here are some schematics of the final product :

stuff i intend to put in :

psone screen w/ rca plugs
+ its headphone jack and brightness and volume control buttons (forgot them on the pics)
stock gc controller (+rasped A/B/X/Y part)

batteries will go in the gc halve

so here i am so far :

ordered platic to build the case. I may vacuum form it.

Re: lyb's GCp (sorta) worklog

read that thing already, but i don't understand what i'm supposed to get from this, that i must make a custom regulator isn't it?

Re: lyb's GCp (sorta) worklog

That you CAN make a custom regulator and save a lot of size. Otherwise you're stuck with the largish stock reg.

Unless you have a rev. C board.

Re: lyb's GCp (sorta) worklog

Not unless you want to do more tracing than you've probably done before.

Probably just a USB port wired up to the AV lines.

that's exactly it, and since the usb has four connexions + ground, i wonder if i can't use 3 for AV and 1 for power (and one for ground of course).
The whole purpose is to limit the number of wires connecting this halve to the other. I just want to know if that is possible, the connexions of usb seem a bit tiny for power

Re: lyb's GCp (sorta) worklog

well in the gamecube ports... The controller might be a wavebird but if not, a wire might come out on top (not drawn on the pic)

And sorry but could anyone tell me how to set a pth8000 to output 7.5V out of 12? i have a bunch of those lying around and i'd like to know how to use it :neutral2:

then i do have 5 pins, thank you beta, and i'm sorry for asking so many questions, but since i don't speak english that well, i never trully trust my understanding of it, such as when reading a tutorial :(

Re: lyb's GCp (sorta) worklog
