The Dragon Warrior II box by itself would be the winner, from a lucrative standpoint.

You can buy box protectors (on my phone so can't post a link and probably will forget to edit this when on a real machine but probably videogameboxprotectors.com or eBay) if you are worried about It, or just flatten it and stick it in a giant book or something. It's really just the box that is price crazy so you can still play and enjoy the game itself without worry.

Our local charity shop got the motherload of comics after a local collector died. Managed to pick up:
Hellboy issue 1 £10
Bone issue 13 1/2 £5
30 issues of Fables £25

Back there again tomorrow to see if anything else gets unpacked.

Work was throwing out computer stuff. I grabbed some things:
A SCSI controller card
A SCSI slide scanner
About 25 assorted SCSI cables
About 8 assorted monitor cables
Couple USB cables
12v 9a power brick
48 port gigabit switch.

Preliminary testing says it all works.

I looked up prices and model numbers. I kinda feel bad now.

Probably not, but someone might have done it. You can "make" one by daisy chaining a bunch of smaller ones

Nice find. My Goodwill never has anything good. The best I got was a Dreamcast for like $13 once. :/

I ended up selling FFVII for $75. Might have been able to get even more, but I figure since I spent $2 on it that that was a good enough profit Metal Gear Solid is also up for grabs as I already have a copy.

Also, I went into Guitar Center last week and found this beautiful sunburst Epiphone Dot marked down to $260 from $399. Decided to get it since my next chance at one would likely cost at least another $100. Put a 50% down payment on it at the time and picked it up Thursday.

I love having a job.

Bought a ton of flax today. Most notable was a box of magic cards I bought for 5 bucks. Tons of 5 dollar a pop cards and one signed card that sells on ebay for around 400 usd.

4 games I picked up from a guy at the swap meet that came over to my booth. The guy walks up, throws the games down on my table and declares "TELL ME WHEN YOU'RE EVER GONNA SEE THESE GAMES AGAIN" and walks off to look at my stuff with his arms crossed. A few minutes later he tells me that Little Nicky is demanding huge prices on ebay which is obviously bullflax, gave him 5 bucks for all 4 because why not. Also Little nicky is *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing hilarious.

Picked up this laptop at a garage sale a couple days ago, hooked it up to a universal power supply to test it. Works fine, p and enter keys dont work. Shouldnt be difficult to fix. Can't complain at $10

Hacked Xenon Xbox 360 running Blades Menu with a controller and about 90 copied games, £20.

Disk drive is acting up so I'll be doing a pot tweak in the next few days. Then I'll try installing XEXMenu to check if its been JTagged. If not and it's just got a flashed drive, I'll have a go at JTagging it. Might also reapply the thermal paste and fan mod it to reduce the risk of it RRODing.

I saw an ad on Craigslist about a week ago for a Power Mac G3 Blue and White, which instantly had me squealing in excitement. I have a soft spot for Apple products of this generation and I really like the look of the G3 Blue and White. Unfortunately, they're really hard to find.

Today, I picked them up. Turns out a local newspaper downsized and was dumping all of their old Apple stuff. I expected to pay $50 for one functional unit with a broken latch, but instead I ended up paying $40 for that one plus another one, in worse cosmetic condition and missing the HDD and PSU. And a grape keyboard. Could have got a monitor and some software, but I don't need either of those.

I'll fire up the working one later and try it. Eventually, it will house a new PC, with the case kept as stock as possible. Not for a while, though. I'm headed off to BCIT in September, and I probably won't have time (or tools) to work on it.

Managed to pick up a Slim PS3 with what I thought was a disk stuck in it for £24 from a pawn shop. Turns out someone must have tried to fix it, but forgot to put the metal top back on the Blu-ray drive. Can't find a replacement for just that piece online though
