Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

Nice work. How much time have you spent working on this so far? It looks like it's only been a week.

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

he said that he had the week off or something like that.

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

no joke this is exactly what i had in mind for my portable. its looking great!

someone else did one in a zn 40 case and they had some project boxes in the back to hold the cartridge and battery supply.
do you plan on making everything internal or have some things protruding the case?

Theres so much extra room in there.

The only thing external would be the buttons and the cartslot.

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

if there's extra room, make it a n64/snes multiportable!(what I plan to do at some point) map the dpad to dpad, and cbuttons to the snes right side buttons. :dah:

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

Hey guys, I was wondering what connections I bridge to turn the n64 permanently on.

Where the switch to turn it on used to be, bridge there.

Not what I meant...

There are 8 pins,

1 8
2 7

3 6
4 5

Which do I bridge to which?

Pretty easy to figure out when all the traces going to these points are labeled.

I actually did get it all done before I checked this thread, but i had to make double sure, as my n64 will not give video now.

Atleast I know it isnt that now..

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

Ugh so, Yeah..

Since trying to do the power button bridging, I can't get video...At all..

I've re-relocated the cartslot about 4 times, and nothing... wtf... :gonk:

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p

Ahh the joys of N64 Portables. On my first one the Darth64 I went through 3 N64's before I got it right. They are sensitive......

Re: Michaelthurston's new N64p
