C-Button mod

Hey everyone,

The Ion 64 still works! But I have come to a problem. The C-Stick button mod won't work no matter what I try. I even tried as high of resistance as 22k ohms! Any suggestions? Im using a Super Pad 64 controller for the mod and a 3rd party gamecube stick. I've only hooked up one of the sticks pots. Here's some pics:

Its been said not to work on 3rd party controllers. It worked for me on a superpad 64 in summer of '08 in my Portendo 64 days, but I haven't tried since.

Wow, the people on MBB really are retarded. It is a good mod, though. I'm thinking about using something similar on Leet64 now, but I'll probably stick with buttons.

What resistance are the pots? I used the pots from a ps2 analog and they are 5k pots. I had some gamecube ones which I think were 50k pots and did not work!

edit/add: you may not like this mod at all. It took some time to get used to and I am still unsure how I like it. It works well for goldeneye and gives it a more modern console dual analog feel but still hard to adjust.

Hi everyone! My analog stick works but I have a problem. So there are three pins on the pot right? When I connects ground to the center pin and my positive to the right pin and move it to the left I get 500 ohms. When I move it to the right, I get 1K ohms. The Multi-meeter at maximum can put out 1K ohm. This means that it will scroll through the options only one way on the menu. I'll post a video soon. Thanks,

Did you remove the joystick from its board? Apparently it can make a difference and keep certain things from working.

Really? I did but. I'll check to see if any traces are connecting on the board.
