No, cake= delicious, delicious=I want to eat. In relation to the portable, "It looks like a cake" means, I want to eat that portable! Which is a compliment.
 
I am obviously a bit late to comment, but anyways, the first pic, I was like "waaaa! That's huge!" But then the pictures with your hand in them, I was like "Oh my! That is actually small!".
