Noah7's First GCp, the LCube! WIP

First off sry to know that youre cube might have gotten fried up =/

Second, in one vid of youres i noticed you the the wire memcard well. Could you plz take some close up pics of the wireing. I'm doing it using Ashen guide but I'd like to confirm with some look up at a finished one before soldering.

Third. A preety noob question. Where do you guys get youre wires and multi wire cables you use and what are their specs?

Let me know

Thanks

Yeah, so I still never finished, as I fried 2 more Cubes. However, it'll be done over the next few weeks.

Here's a video of the case back in November.

It's actually really nice to hold. The thing that makes it is the trigger positions. I put them farther back so that it would be easier on the hands.

It's actually Rustoleum. I would never use it on plastic normally, but it's painter's touch for plastic.

They were listed as defective, but they're all working fine. They were "defective" for no reading discs, sticky buttons, and stuck reset buttons. They all work fine though.

I got 10 GCs for about 15 bucks. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more progress!

Controller wired up.

Case done.

I'll take better pictures tomorrow, once all of the buttons are mounted in.

I fell asleep at my workbench trying to finish this. :p
Well, now that it's 5:45 AM, I might as well finish it.

Okay, so weird controller problems. ABXY aren't working, no matter what I do. The controller will sometimes think that I'm pressing right on the joystick. The d-pad also isn't working. There is a picture of the wiring above, I'll take higher res pics later. Any suggestions?
I've already checked for shorts, bridging, etc.

Two possible explanations:

1. You applied too much heat to the main chip when soldering.

2. The wire connecting the controller to the cube (on the cube's end) may be loose, or the controller transistor could be fried. It happened to me with my new mobo. The guy shipped it saying the controller didn't work, and all I had to do to fix it was replace the controller transistor from another mobo.

I'll just open up my other controller, I must have fried the chip because the cube works fine with other controllers.
