You have to know that there is two input channels: Av1 and Av2. It's why there is a cable not used (white one).

So, can I switch on the GC safely or may I have to change something ?
(Sorry for the english mistakes, I'm french).

Thanks for your help,
Monstercrunch.

1.) You don't need the little board that came out of the GC plug. Just wire the video directly to the motherboard.

2.) You don't need insulated wire running from the screen power to the motherboard. Any wire will do, and will save you space. Same with ground. Go ahead and wire that to your board with regular wire too.

In the end, all it amounts to is space in the case. Other than that, you're good to switch it on! :)

And welcome to the forums/GC sene.

Thanks for your response !
I'm going to do it now...
I didn't insulated the wires, I just used the video cables of the GC, and they were like that. I'll receive thinners ones later, I probably will change them so.

It's working !!!!!!!!!

Try and use insulated wire for all the stuff going to your screen and amp. Like sony said though, you might not need to insulate power and ground, but you should anyway, just to be safe.
And yes, the original GC video cable is insulated wire. :p

 It is not needed.

Not sure if this has already been said, but use shielded wire for ALL CONNECTIONS if possible. So power lines, AV, etc. The main power lines to the cube and the power lines to the screen.

As for the shielded wire, its a very good idea. Sony, your facepalm was in poor taste, not to mention YOUR portable will probably need shielding to avoid video interference. Especially since its so small and cramped.

Yeah, it probably will. I'm trying to think how I can cram some in there. I was talking about shielded wire for power. If you used shielded wire for everything in the portable, there'd be no way to fit everything in the case! :D

I was only facepalming because nuke said "Sony's right, but do it anyway." Not because it's not a good idea. :p

Speaking of video interference, can you use a toroid to combat it?

You really only need shielded cable if batteries are involved. In some circumstances you still do even if you aren't using batteries, but in any case it never hurts to shield the video and audio lines.

I didn't say that, your twisting my words around.
And if you cant fit shielded wire, I doubt you can fit a toroid.
