Hot air pencil

I want a better tool for removing/soldering n64 ram onto n64 boards. like a hot air pencil iron.

Anyone got one, or any recommendations as to getting one?

Also, I do NOT want to make one. I tried a few times, didn't get the results I wanted.

I'd like to know as well, I've been looking for a heat gun but a full size one is a bit much.

Yea I have one of those.

Basically it is a backwards de-soldering iron. Blows hot air and melts the solder instead of vacuuming up the solder.

The problem is that you need a desoldering station for it to work. The one you linked to is the one that goes with my desoldering station :

It will work with just the desoldering station also. But you will spend a couple hundred bucks.

Just make one with a ratshack desoldering iron and a fishtank air pump.

aoyue 852. all in one hot air rework station. clone of a hakko. (i have the 968, which has an iron as well, and its just as high of quality as the hakko its a clone of, but 1/4 of the price.)
highly recommend.
