GCV Worklog!

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

You can't rely on the dremel for everything, in order to have the perfect setup I'm pretty darn sure you need the right tools for the job. Not saying the dremel is bad for the heatsink, or whatever, but using tools for certain jobs is what I'd say is key to perfection. I will indeed use the Multi-max for cutting a hole in the heatsink, but reducing the height, Im still going with the drill press.

Also, don't even compare me to wolborgs grammar.

And lol sorry, the term is an oscillating edge trimmer, it looks pretty much the same as the Multi-max thing, but a bit bigger. I'm gonna go get myself a Dremel Multi-Max this weekend, so yeah.

Clear LEDS came in today, gonna install them today or tomorrow, or whenever I have time.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

No, no, the point is that I CAN rely on my dremel for everything heatsink related, and that it's the best tool for the job. I think I've already made it fairly clear how. :P

Anyways, looks good. Imma stop hijacking your thread with my tool-related shenanigans, but it looks like I made my point since you are buying one. :sscool:

EDIT: HNNG Y U DOUBLE POST NINJA ME

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Alright just came back my local home depot, came back with Rigid Jawmax, it's basically the more powerful version of the multimax.
Imma cut my heatsink right noa. BRB.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Uh, no it dosen't. Dremel Multimax is 1.5 amps, this is 3 Amps. Only one of the reasons why its more powerful.
EDIT: WHOOOPS.THE NEME OF THE THING IS CALLED JOBMAX, NOT JAWMAX.SRRY.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Oh, okay. That company likes to call everything JobMax, there's like 3 of them. Still, mine has a higher OPM, so, more powerful.

SS

Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

May oscillate faster, but there's a mere 1.5 amps driving it.
That's less than what the GC takes, and mine was only what, 20 bucks more expensive.
your getting 2x more power for only 20$ more so, yeah.
Mo bang fo yo buck.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Please don't make me math you in your own worklog, I don't want to have to math you in your own worklog.

Lolwut?
Anyways, it's like midnight, and the cuttings making slot of noise, so IMMA cut tomorrow

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Oh, fine. I have nothing to do anyways.

First, you are wrong about everything in that post.

1. 120v at 1.5A IS NOT EVEN COMPARABLE to 12v at 1.5A. By your logic, I should be able to power my dremel for over an hour with 4 psp batteries and a step up converter.

Doesn't sound plausible?
It's not.

2. We aren't playing with batteries here. "Power" isn't measured in amperage in this case. It's measured in OPMs. The principal of these tools is not the same as a drill, where "power" is measured in, what, torque? The "power" of these tools is measured in speed.

And mine is higher. .05% higher.

Multiply that by the fact that I'm the GodDang ShockSlayer(meaning it's multiplied by at least 400 and the units are converted to rainbows) and that makes my dremel, oh, about 20% cooler.

3. So no, you aren't getting 2x the power for $20 extra. You actually got less power for more money. Gratz.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

And that kids, is why I never argue with the GodDang ShockSlayer.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

I will never try and math shockslayer (I couldn't anyway I go to public school)

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

You may be right about the the OPM of the dremel, but who said I was talking about pure power, not the speed.

The rigid JobMax runs from 0-20,000. The multi-Max at around 10,000-21,000. Huge difference!

The Rigid has LED lights, 2 finger trigger, 4 adjustable head positions, and its compatible with all popular multi tool bits, accessories.
The 3 Amp motor may not matter, but to me, I really don't care. As long as it has something the others don't have.
All of these things the Dremel dosen't have.

This tool may not be as fast, but its at the point were it really dosen't matter plus it has 5+ features that the dremel dosen't have, so I'd say its a ok trade-off.

You said in your PGC worklog that you had your cut heatsink in 7 minutes, I cut, sanded, and finshed it in 5:34 seconds flat.
No proof, but I trust you take my word for it.

So yea, eat it.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

God, you're turning into SQ. Seriously, if you're going to fight with SS, fight over something that's worth it. You sound like a 1st grader fighting over a crayon.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Not really.

I'm just saying. 1000 OPM, can't change my mind when theres like,10 more features.
meh-i-could-fap-to-that.jpg

Also, SS is was the one who started this.

But its cool. SS is still one of my portabilzing idols and I know he's the admin and crap.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Nukear, I like you. But right now you are being a total dick. Let me tell you something. NO ONE *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ING CARES IF YOUR DRILL PRESS IS STRONGER THAN A DREMEL. STFU.

The Rigid has LED lights-Oooh, useful, 2 finger trigger-Good for setting a constant speed, oh wait, can you?, 4 adjustable head positions-pointless really, and its compatible with all popular multi tool bits, accessories.-Mine too?
The 3 Amp motor may not matter, but to me, I really don't care. As long as it has something the others don't have.

No proof, but I trust you take my word for it.-I wasn't going for a time record really, and you don't want me to either. Trust me, I'll knock you into the ground.

So yea, eat it.-I'm not the one whose been eating my own words this whole time.

You are going to lose, I promise you, you should probably just quit and admit that I'm right and that I've got the better tool.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG+Vita Mini!!

Ok.
If you really want to, I'll go back to HD to replace the thing for the dremel, but really, buying this tool wasn't exactly my decision in first place anyways.
VITA RELATED:
I Cut the fan hole-thing in the heatsink, as you could proly tell, and left a bit of the fins somewhat intact. I might rip them off later, depending on what you guys think I should do.
Also SS, would be totally cool if you could clean up all the tool-related crap up.
