Digital port wiring issues

Yesterday I successfully did the component cable mod to output VGA and everything worked fine. Today I come to just replace the ports with wiring and now nothing is working. The way I wired it is the solder points closest to the mobo edge go to the solder points closest to the edge of the chip in the component cable. I've soldered ground and checked each solder point to make sure everything is going to the correct place but still nothing. There must be something I'm missing, if anyone can help I'd be very grateful.
Thanks

as long as you wired it correctly, there is nothing more to it...ie, nothing to miss...
remember to consider the pinouts when you flip the mobo and solder from the bottom...

word of caution, i blew out the video controller or something else similar on the mobo which also knocked out video on the analog port, only audio worked on analog port...

i hope this is not what you mean when you say "now nothing is working"
if so, get a new mobo.. if video still works on analog port, then remove wiring, plug in the board to the digital port to confirm digital port is working appropriately..

then take caution rewiring the connection..
