Desoldering iron

I'm curious on how much a nice desoldering iron like this would cost. Any links or help?

Well, that would be a true vacuum desoldering iron.
They are very expensive, and generally only used in professional applications.

They run many hundreds of dollars, and even into the thousands for multi-function soldering stations that include this ability.

Ones worth buying, $400+.

just get a cheap desoldering iron from radioshack. They cost, what, $10?

Pretty much everyone here uses either a cheap desoldering iron or a desoldering pump. As a community, we're on average kind of poor.

It's true.

A $10 to $15 desoldering iron from Radioshack does nicely.

But it can never compare to a Vacuum Desoldering Iron like the one bassmasta linked to.
