Bush's N64p: The Whacka 64 (for sale/commission!)

is there a short in the batteries? i used 2 1kohm resistors and it works fine i dont think the resistor is your problem... probably the batteries have a low mah maybe?

Well my regulator is getting about 6.9v rather than 7.4v, so I may need to switch those lines. Either way, switching to 1.8k should help. I also think each n64 handlrs the 3.3v line a little differently; some have greater tolerances than others.

Well, I finally got the resistor replaced. Its now 1.8kohms, but im still having issues. The board is getting 3.3v, but its still pissy. It gives off a ton of visual interference then cuts off. Any ideas?

Sounds like an interference problem on your video line. I think there is a circuit somewhere to fix it, but I don't know for sure.

That doesnt explain why it turns off though

Hey guys! Just wanna let you know this isnt dead. I was working on a commission and will work on this again soon.

Well, BUMP. I've been really busy, and I am currently sick. Next week I may begin work on this. But this isn't dead at all, so in the meantime, feel free to comment.

TA FREAKING DA

I started working on the power wiring again, replacing the battery wiring. I think the lines from the protection circuit are too thin, and the N64 isn't getting enough power. If I have the screen tapping into the regulator on the n64 board, could that be stealing too much power and cutting off both it and the 64? That's how I have it wired now, and I think that may be my problem. Also, i'm going to order another case, as I have talked with my buyer and we both like the vertical cart slot idea. The batts are charging, I'll tell you if it works afterward.
