Wiring GC Controller to Port

I was not sure if I were to wire the GC controller to the first player port, which colored wires go to which pins on the back of the controller port? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Well, you don't need the controller board at all. Check out here, here, and here. They are color coded.
