What is with chinese websites?

why is it, that on most chinese websites, the descriptions for items never include details?! heres an example:

i just found some awesome looking screens, at an awesome price, but the details are fail! (7" 16:9 "high def" tft panel.) ten of em shipped for just under 200$. however, nowhere in the description (english or chinese) does it have any info about resolution, voltage requirement, input/output, or manufacturer.

why!? its not the only one, either. probably 80%of the chinese websites i visit are like that. anyone got any reasons?

Probably so you risk buying it, hoping it has the specs you want. Then when it arrives, oh crap.

it is to prevent competitors from undercutting them on the exact same product. You need to ask them for a spec sheet.
