Question about GC wiring!

Hi, so I'm probably going to be starting a GC portable. I bought a Wiikey Fusion and I have a few questions on hooking it up to my GC.

So with this picture:

I just wire up the corresponding pins on my GC to the ones on the HOST side of my Wiikey Fusion? (The ones labeled 32-1 here)

Thanks guys!

No. Did you read the guide ashen made? Theres a image that shows the correct corresponding pins between the gc and the wiikey.

Those two pictures you posted at the top are the pin numbers of the gamecube and off the wii/wiikey. So you connect the gamecube pin to the wii pin next to it, as shown in the picture. So gc pin 1 goes to wii pin 28, gc pin 3 to wii pin 27, etc, as shown in the diagram. And make sure to ground the wii pins that are marked "ground" on the far right column.

It's kind of confusing when you say wii pin. I am assuming that GC pin 1 goes to the Wiikey pin 28. And I simply connect the GC ground to the grounds on the Wiikey.

What is 1.9v for Wii DVD only?

I connect the GC 3.3v to pin 32 on the Wiikey, correct?

And, for the lid switch, I just put a switch in-between GC pin 12 and Wiikey pin 23?

Sorry, but thanks a ton!

When I say wii pin, I mean wiikey pin. Since you are using the wiikey, and not the wii disc drive, you don't need 1.9v on the switch. So you need a normally closed switch running between wiikey pin 29 and ground. Yes, you connect 3.3v to pin 32, and you don't need a lid switch between gc pin 12 and wiikey pin 23 unless you want to have one. If you don't, just wire the two pins together.

Ok! Thanks so much! I think I have this now!

Just to verify, these are the Game Cube pins, correct?

And these are the Wiikey pins (32, 1), right?

Hi again. I have another question about wiring up the game cube! So I heard that SS discovered that you don't need the 12v line. All you have to do is bridge it with the 5v line.

So, as shown in this picture, all I would have to do to get sound is bridge the ORANGE and RED pins, right?
