Inspired by This Video,
I've decided to build a MAME cabinet, I will post the Worklog Here.

I bought everything I needed, Which includes:

2 Sheets of 3/4" Plywood
2 Sheets of thin Plexi-Glass
4 Red Buttons
4 Yellow Buttons
4 Green Buttons
4 Blue Buttons
2 White Buttons
2 Black Buttons
2 Player buttons(1, 2)
2 Happ 8-way Comp. Joysticks, Black
Red NEO-GEO paint
Marque tube light

I will be using an old Dell, runs the games great, on a 19" CRT monitor

Joystick, and 8 button layout, NEO-GEO Style.

Yes, this is going to be a NEO-GRO Replica, if you haven't noticed by the Parallelism.

Anyways, After about 6 hours, I've done this:

Updates as they Come!

You should use AtomicFE for the interface. There's an option that makes it boot at Windows startup, so no need to go through flax. Themes too!

I thought I took a picture of it working 10 minutes ago but apparently my camera lied.

All that is left to do now is wait for the Buttons and keywiz to arrive, then I can get the controls up and finish this sucker.

Paint tomorrow.

I opened this thread, and then another tab and got distracted. I went back to this thread and saw a list and a picture of lemonade. For a minute, I assumed this was a recipe for lemonade.

That is all. Good luck on your project.

Good luck! After I move to the new house, me and my dad are going to build an arcade machine. The design is a bit odd, I can post a bad paintshop if you want.

Also, there's one funny thing about homebuilt arcade/MAME cabs. They either are specifically tailored to one or a few games, or have every possible control imaginable for every situation. There is very little in the middle.

Mine is leaning towards Every possible control situation, Except for Track ball, or spinner knobs.

I have a 10 button layout.

oo
O oooo
oooo

I wanted 10 buttons mainly for n64 emulation

Theres start, select, a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h

for NES: Start, Select, A+B
SNES: Start, Select, ABXY, LR
Genny: Start, Mode, ABCXYZ
N64: start, Z, AB, C, L+R

I could even do Playstation if I really wanted to.

The big "O" is the joystick

PRetty much done, waiting on buttons and joysticks.

Sorry these pics are dirty, I'm tired.
