Lookin' for a headset with a good mic.

I'm in the market for one, I don't like using webcam mics and would rather put on a headset. I don't care about headphone quality as much as I care about it having a super great mic.

I'd say $75 would be the max I'd pay, anyone got any experience?

I've gone through a few DX mics and they are ass, don't even bring that nonsense up.

EDIT: Also, I know the general rule of thumb is to avoid wireless headsets, but has anyone ever tried one?

I've never had a good experience with a headset (not to say there aren't good ones out there, but I never payed more than 60$ for one) I ended up just using my regular headphones and a clip on mic. I'm happy with it until I forget the mic is on my shirt and I try to walk away.

I'd do what Nterror did and get some MDR-V6s and attach a DX mic. You'll get infinitely better sound quality from that.

This guy says the 681s are superior in pretty much every way in terms of sound. The headband also looks a lot more comfortable, and they are $10 less. Build quality seems to reflect that price drop though.

I really did end up having to buy at least 2 more, the ones that everyone linked to just seem to break or fizzle out fairly quick, one start sounding like the ocean.

Mic quality is the most important thing to me.
