Just wondering about the relocating the memory card....

So I have my memory card wired to my gc mobo like so

and I was wondering if I could just hot glue the pins or would I have to solder them for some reason?

if you need to connect wires to the copper pad you need to solder them. if you want to hold the wires down to something so they don't flap around use glue.

Have you just snapped the wires onto the vias??

I wouldn't say snapped. I just sort of poked them through the hole.

Does it register and work? I'd put some solder on those pins. This seems more like a temporary technique and soldering them is more permanent.

Soldering it in is the onlyyy sure way to get a connection.

Definetely solder them. Putting just glue on it isn't reliable.
