isolation transformer

I wouldn't really bother. Most motherboards use a ground plane, so if you were to try to have an isolated ground for a video line with the transformer it'd just be kinda useless 'cause it is likely grounded. It could possibly be useful for an amplifier you install, but you can't run DC through a transformer, so you would have to have some sort of DC-AC converter then a rectifier to power your amplifier.

If you're running into ground loops then something's wrong with your circuit design.
