I'm entering the race: SonyQrios µGC Worklog

Okay, HUGE update! I did a ton of casework today. Pics for your satisfaction:

Controller templates (A, B, X, Y & D-pad from DS Lite - Main and C stick custom vacuum formed):

Note the indentation on the top of the case:

I had to cut it out and bring it up to make it flat. It turned out pretty nicely in my opinion.

It may be my OCD, but it looks like the vent holes are slightly off, is that on purpose or is it the angle?

It looks that way, but when measured, they are straight. It's just the odd angle that the plastic and the hole is cut.

Yeah, it makes you think that it's wrong the entire time you're working on your case, but when you paint it, it looks perfect. ;)

Reaction to SQ's 1st and last post to this thread-

HOLY *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ING flax THIS IS GODLY.

Reaction to content in-between-

*sighs at mr then hugs it anyway*

Good news: Case is almost done. I'll be painting next weekend!

Bad news: I fried my board. All that work, down the drain.

So, what I am going to do now is get a PAL GC mobo so I can play Luigi's Mansion. It's a plus that I'd be willing to take the extra step for. I guess the fact that my other board no longer works is a motivator to pick another board up.

If anyone has a PAL CPU-30 board, I'd love to take it off of your hands. If not, do you know where I could get one?

Okay, I got a PAL board! Thanks, Prandy.

So that means the other mobo is for sale. See the junk yard.
