Ive been wanting to make a portable for a while I've looked everywhere and couldn't find a basic but detailed tutorial on how to build a portable n64 I watched Downing's videos and he was just showing off no help at all, the one from moddedbybacteria was hard to under stand so will anyone help me do this??

This forum had a good run, and I enjoyed every bit and wish very much that it could have stayed strong, but at this point it's sitting in its grave. Most of its users have moved to another site, and the few that are remaining here aren't really doing projects or interested in helping those that are new, such as yourself.
Modretro has a lot of good information buried in the forums, but it is no longer the place to start a new project worklog. If more time passes without getting any response to your threads, consider moving to bitbuilt.net.
