GCV Worklog!

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

You should have cut the hole for the fan so that it was parallel with the fins, that way the air would not only blow onto the heatsink, but it would travel through the fins as well. Your setup should be fine, but it would be a lot cooler the other way. (no pun intended)

A little askii art to clarify! (or just confuse you)

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

If it's cool as it is tho, you should be fine. Are you planning on putting some small heatsinks on the ram chips?

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

I would go for a 1000 model replacement analog. They have nice pads on bottom to solder to.

Can't remember where I found this, credit to whoever made it.

Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Alright thanks. Also the analogs work on both the joystick and the c pad right?

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Ashen have you looked into replacing the caps on the psp joystick?

IIRC the psp joystick could be pretty good if you can replace the cap.

Is that true?

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Yep, There's actually a whole bunch of replacement caps that look to be pretty decent. I've ordered some different ones from DX and amazon to try some out. Pics when they come in.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Wired my wiikey, its not working. When I boot it up, I still get the error, and no LED lights up. Also, pins 31 and 30 on the adapter board:

is not occupied. Otherwise everthing is wired. I also suspect I wired the lid/disc sensing and disc eject is wired wrong.
Any help?????

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

The eject switch needs to be normally closed, between pin 29 and gnd.
That diagram makes it look like you can use the yellow circled pins on the gamecube for 3.3v. You can't. The DD uses 5v, not 3.3, so make sure that you have pin 32 connected to 3.3v.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Ok, but I already wired 3.3V in on the adapter board to the 3.3 on the reg.

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!
