GameCube Portable Power Concept: Recharge with Batteries

My special plan for my GameCube Portable's battery set-up:

I'll try to explain this a bit:

Basically, everything is wired up to a rechargeable battery pack I built that gives off about 18 volts. The battery pack can be recharged by plugging it into a wall adapter like normal hand-held consoles and phones. The special concept I'm using that I have never seen before is that you can also recharge the battery pack using a pair of AA batteries in a special slot.

This stemmed from the idea of the original GameBoy using AA batteries, meaning it was easy to find new ones. The problem was that if you had to change out the batteries, then you'd have to turn off your game, meaning progress you had made would be lost (especially if it was a game without saving or where you could only save at specific points).

My design allows you to recharge the GameCube Portable using AA batteries while still allowing it to be powered on, allowing you to easily bring extra power with you if you are going on a long trip or have some other reason you won't be around a power outlet!

Also this is my first post here and I'm glad to be joining the modding community :)

In fact, it's a good idea, but a simple AA battery is 1.5v so you get 3v with two in series, that's a lot of batteries for getting to 18v...

I've thought about it a bit and after some testing, I have been able to charge the main battery pack with lower voltages, it just takes slightly longer. As this is just a concept I'm probably going to end up adding more to it, like more slots for batteries of different sizes (9V, AAA, D, etc.)

They have no voltage nor amperage enough to charge a pack like that.
Even if you achieve this, it would be a waste of money just for a charge. If what matters is recharge your portable when you're out, then just build a powerfull external pack and use it to recharge your batteries while you play.

Or you can do like bacteria, he used canon camera batteries and placed the charger socket outside the case, so he plugs his batteries behind the portable, you just need some spare batteries.
