I made a... er... mistake... with my PS1 screen...
I was trying some things with the color saturation capacitor and then the whole capacitor came off the board...
It fell on the ground and now I can't find it anymore...
The picture is now... well... ...let's say it's very very very very saturated.
The GameCube logo is just one, blue, rotated square.
But it doesn't really matter for me since the PS1 screen doesn't support PAL60 and NTSC... only PAL50.
And all my saved games are in NTSC...
The screen that's going to be is one of the screens from Dalian Good Screens.
It costs 110 to be delivered to my door, and I have now about 60 dollars...

That was it!

can you link to the screen you talk about? does it support PAL 60Hz ?

I think it does support PAL60 because they say that it supports PAL / NTSC and not only PAL50 or so.

It's been a long time ago that I posted on this topic the last time, and I built some other things in that time (Lisys and Djek.nl)
(I will write an article about Lisys soon on www.djek.nl)
Anyway, I re-soldered almost every wire on my GCL and now with the professional Heatshrink!
I also picked up a new solder tip because my previous one was... broken...
And with Ashen's discovery for the WiiKey Fusion (or was it Ashen AND Zenl0c?) I'm full of new mood to build this baby!
But yeah... I don't have lotsa money so I gotta wait until I have more money.

Updatez!

First of all, I got some big money (150 euros) (for me that's a lot! ) from an inheritance.
So, I already ordered my new screen from Dalian Good Screens, the WiiKey Fusion and the FFC Connector!!

Also, I opened up my 2047 blocks memory card and soldered the pads directly to the GC!

And maybe you already saw it in the WiiKey topic, but I soldered the flatcable (a cut IDE cable ) to the GC mobo!

Everything is going great again!

But of course I also have some new, fresh questions!
1. What the heck is BONDO? Everyone is using it and I don't even know what it is...
1. And what kind of controller do you recommend for an internal?

I hope you can answer them!

In a way yes. But really it is more of a filler. I really recommend abs cement or some form of epoxy. Bondo can crack if flexed too much. I prefer abs cement or epoxy putty to hold the pieces in there and bondo glazing putty to fill in imperfections. Just my preference.

UPDATES:

I ordered my screen (one from Dalian Good Display), my WiiKey Fusion and the FFC connector!
I already received my WiiKey.

I also removed the "Controller/frontpanel" and soldered some things already to the GC Mobo (Player 1 controller (did you know you could get a working controller with only 2 wires?),
Bios Battery and the Reset Switch)

UPDATE:
Since Swiss works with WKF, I soldered my GC MEM to SD adapter to Slot B!

And FedEx order tracking says I'm getting my FFC adapter Tuesday!

As soon as I'm going to build it in my case and finish it, everything is going to be glued.
