This is gonna be the most epic mod ever.

Taking a GBA SP model 2 with the backlit screen, bypassed the switch so it can only boot into GBC mode, then used the LCD with some modded projector optics, and a small metal halide light source.

No projection pics yet, because it looks like flax, not because it cannot look good, but because it leaks light right now so badly (cardboard would have worked for a quick fix, but eh.... Effort).

Obviously nowhere near done, this is just a quick rig to get it working, working on case now.

Oh, and this is gonna use a genesis controller port. AND built in controls.

A couple questions.
1. How will this work?
2. Why would make it only usable as a GBC, why not use it for GBA to?

You turn it on, and it projects the GBC game onto any surface you want.

GBC only, because the optics will not fit a GBA sized screen without severe distortion.

Well I still think it's great. I'd try it if I had a GBA SP, but I'm outta cash.

Yeah, that way they're easier to use, too. just plug them in to test used mobos easy I didn't read the thread, but how much were the parts for this?
