Lets just get your facts right. I don't sell portable gamecubes. What's the point in making something worth £500 when the only thing you're going to get offered is £200? The fact that some people here are delusional enough to think they're going to be able to churn out portables all day and get a high price for it is just laughable, especially when 99% of the people who enquire barely have a penny to spend on the portables in the first place. They get exactly what they pay for.
Really how am I pissing you off, I'm just giving advice on how to not come across badly to others.
And I sell my portables "all day long" for $700-$800. So I really don't think it's "laughable" at all.
Seriously man I wasn't trying to make you feel not welcome.
If you sell them all day long for $700 - $800 (which is about £500, hence my saying worth £500 but no serious buyers) why do I only see 5 very mediocre portables in your signature? How long did it take to actually sell them? I bet it took a few months for a real person willing to spend that to come along.
I'm glad a lot of you are prepared to see what I have to offer before jumping the gun like this guy here in making his assumptions. My work will speak for itself in time.
As I clearly said in the first post, I'm tired of portable gamecubes and I want to start unique challenges, and this is EXACTLY why I'm here. I'm not here to score browny points with invisible mods or sell portable gamecubes. Too many people are making them now.
No, I'm here because I want to finish a project that I started which already had a build log over a year ago, write guides on portable and case construction, do wiring diagrams, etc, to benefit the community. Hailraiser is making me think that was a big mistake.
Being actually on topic: Today I'm going to get my N64 out of storage. It's been sat in a draw for the past year and last time I remembered, a piece broke off, but I don't remember what part. Then I'm going to chop down the board to see what kind of height I'm dealing with.
In the mean time I'm going to be modifying the power brick so that it's a cable + block + cable. I'll be attaching a kettle lead port to it so I can easily unplug it.
Can any of you recommend a project box I can host the board for that in?
