Evo Smart Console?

I know this was revealed in September 2006, but I never even heard of this thing until now. The Evo Smart Console is a PC, repackaged into a video game console with custom (open source) software, based on Fedora. Does anyone even own this thing, or heard more about it? It was released a couple days ago.

Never heard of it till now. It looks interesting, but by the time people actually buy it, the PS4 will probably be out.

PC based consoles have always failed, mostly because they lack the backing of a big company, like Microsoft or EA. Also, why the custom firmware? Really no point making something that isn't compatible. Lastly, the sad fact is that the three current manufacturers are so deeply entrenched that no other company, probably even Sega, will gain a significant market share.
