Bush's N64p: The Whacka 64 (for sale/commission!)

Re: Bush's N64p

Today I wired up the controller to the tact switches. yesterday I hooked up the audio amp.

Re: Bush's N64p

Still waiting for two things. I have two questions:
1. Expansion pack or jumper pack? I have an extra jumper pack.
2. Cartslot on top, or flush on back? If I put it on top, it will be the smallest!

Re: Bush's N64p

Expansion pack is better, but I couldn't get one so I just used a jumper pak. Jumper paks are a dime a dozen, but expansion paks are much harder to find. I got lucky and got one in a thrift store N64 ($20 with controller, cables and a crap game), but before that the cheapest I could find one was $20. You can get them off eBay, but most of those are off-brand, sometimes bigger or just junk. Also keep in mind that it takes a bit more space to put in an expansion pak.

Doesn't really matter. Which is more comfortable? Which looks better to you?

Re: Bush's N64p

DON'T DO IT! XD

Also, bush, a word of advice: The dc-45p is thinner than a sl-68p, it's 38mm while the dc-45p is 31mm. If you can actually pull this off, massive props, But I suggest ordering a second case for whan you have to make the spacer. :p

I don't need to order.... FOR THERE WILL BE NO SPACER :awesome:

Anyways, I need opinions. I made a heat dissapator for the main chips, using some loose metal from a modem case. I cut the pieces, then stacked them to 3 ply, and soldered them together. Its either steel or aluminum, and has little holes all over. I need some opinions on this. With some thermal paste, do you think it will do a good job?

Re: Bush's N64p

It'll do a horrible job, but that's fine for the N64 because it doesn't need good heatsinks.

Re: Bush's N64p

Well, I got my batteries, they are a tiny bit too long. If anyone wants to buy or trade for smaller cells, these are 6400 mAh.
