Bush's N64p: The Whacka 64 (for sale/commission!)

Re: Bush's N64p

I meant, once you plug in the box, have these monitor-style screws:

on the outside so you can use your fingers to screw or unscrew the box from the case. So that the VGA port isn't the only thing holding the box on.

Re: Bush's N64p

That would require long screws coming through the front of the box, between controller ports, and past a bunch of wire. Kind of a pain in the ass in my opinion.

Re: Bush's N64p

Ok i'm starting on the controller now, but I need a little help. I plan on cutting and rewiring sections of the controller back to the CPUish thing.

any help is appreciated.

Re: Bush's N64p

...

Can't use a gc stick on first party controller.

Can't make a trisixtyfource clone with first party controller, stick is way too big.

Re: Bush's N64p

Crap. well, does anyone have a yobo/superpad/retro controller they will sell?

Re: Bush's N64p

Should i get one of those? Toast is offering to give me a tight 1st party analog.

The MegaSticky suggested that those Yobo's seem to have the best analog stick compatibility. I won't be putting the first-party analog in mine. I would hate to have to open the case again to replace a worn out joystick. I'd rather spend a little more time wiring up a GCN analog.

I'd say it's just a matter of what you want to do though... Obviously..

Re: Bush's N64p

I would agree with that. I may just put toast's stick in my worn out controller. Thanks for the link!

Re: Bush's N64p

Ya bush, you'll never fit a first party analog in that case, Heck, it won't even work easily in an ag-85. it will, but very painfully.

Re: Bush's N64p

Thanks for the info guys. Snow, im gonna use Joeys cells cause they are so tiny.

There's no way you'll fit enough of those cells in an SL-68p to get decent playtime.

Use these (re-wire the cells to move 'em around. There's also a "china cells" version of this battery for $35 here, but it may not be very high quality.) or these + a spacer like SS did on the TSF.

Re: Bush's N64p

Dood, joey's cells are smaller than standard 18650s.

Lipo is the way to go, there's not really much room to use thick lithium ions in there i think.

Re: Bush's N64p

I have 3 SL-68p's, 5 chopped up N64 boards, 1 of those battery packs, lots of heatsinks, 3 3.5" screens, 2 chopped retrobit's, and all the time in the world.

It will fit.

Re: Bush's N64p

Yeah snow, they are about the size of AA's. I actually may use a slightly longer case.

Re: Bush's N64p

Joey's cells are.

But have you ever seen real 18650 cells? D: they're big, man. really big compared to joey's.
