Big BIG PSOne problem

Hey MR, I'm new here (but I've been a quiet observer for ages), and since I'm new to all of this, I need some help. Today, I wanted to fix an old problem on my PSOne (slim model): a bent memory card port. I opened it up, moved the PCB around a little, and then put it back together. Now, whenever I close the disc tray, it just turns the screen blank with some small white squares popping up. If I open the tray, the system restarts. If I leave it open, it runs simply. Did you check all the connectors?

When it was open, everything seemed fine.

It's a physical problem then, check around the sensor switch for the closed lid, check for shorts or if the button is broken.
