anyone know where to get a 32 pin breakout board?

I used this 36-pin breakout board. http://www.newhavendisplay.com/nhdffc36-p-2476.html
Sure there are extra pins, but it works as long as you position the ribbon cable to one side. It's a pretty popular breakout board, with wiring info specifically on it, as you can see here.
This is a modified version of the diagram on Ashen's wiikey wiring guide.

Btw that breakout board can also be found on digikey, just search that part number.

i wouldnt have to worry about it becoming loose in that situation right?
Yes, it should be held in just as tight as normal. You'll just want to make sure that it's inserted correctly and do a continuity test to make sure ALL the pins are connected. Then you could tape or glue it just to be sure.

Another option would be to get a wider FFC cable, and trim it down. I got this adapter off ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/280660244059?ss ... 1439.l2649
The adapter itself may or may not be useful, but the most valuable part of the package is actually the ribbon cables that come with it. It's 40 pins, so I shaved it down to 36 with a razor blade. Then I trimmed it again to 32, but left the one side at 36.
It came out like this.

This way it fits in both ends of the wiikey and adapter. If you're interested in this method, I can give you more info.
