2.5" pustom screen ?

i got a pustom screen to use with noac i wired the noac and screen to a 7.4v battery
i works but the screen goes dark and the picture is a bit distorted the sound is fine.
but if i run the screen off 9v it is fine.
i thought the pustom screen was fine down to 5v
