It was doing this for the last couple days, I could not figure out why because I didn't update drivers or anything.

Then it started to do this.

Shortly after that it stopped working altogether.

Here is some more pictures.

So anyway, now I am useing a OLD OLD OLLLLDDDD 6200LE I had laying around, I event had to duck tape a fan onto it to make it work. :awesome:
What games can I play? Team Fortress classic?

That happened t me a while ago, slowly it got worse like yours too. It was a radeon x1650. It did this for a while ten it just kept shutting down my computer. I put a new heatsink and fan on it but it didn't want to stay alive. It just died one day. Then I got another one and was fine.

Anyway, I don't know how it happens but I'm pretty sure yeah, your card is dying.

Well I actually registers mine for the warranty. ::3:

Funny thing is, if it actually came with the DVI to VGA adapter I would not have registers it and would be SOL right now. :awesome:

BGA reflow won't fix it. It's the video memory (VRAM) that is messed up, which is why textures are swapping and such. You could solder on new ram chips if you want!

By a 9500GT - you can get one for about 50 dollars on newegg.

I dunno, sounds like a reflow is worth a shot. It worked for me for a while!

Cover the whole card in a few layers of foil excepts for the actual main chip, to protect the rest of the parts from excess heat. Put a stack of 4 quarters on top of that chip, put it on a cookie tray. Put in oven at 380-420 degrees for 20 minutes, then turn off oven and allow it to slowly cool in the oven for a few hours.

Reassamble, and see if it works!

If you can get a new one with the warrenty, do it. A reflow most likely won't work, and could kill the card. And it WILL VOID THE WARRENTY, so don't try it, fail, and try to get a new card.
