My WASP Fusion always gives me a disk read error.

I'm using a Wii, and I bought my WASP from BadAssConsoles.com.

It says it is pre-flashed with Swiss, but is it specifically for Gamecubes? I want to autoboot Swiss with my Wii.

I can't update it or flash it to stock or anything because it always gives me the "Disk Read Error" on the Wii menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My guess is its a problem with the FFC. Maybe it's loose, maybe its busted. I'm not sure, I have never worked with modchips personally, but that issue is caused by either a disc drive board problem or the ffc.

So I'm a dumb idiot and I set my region switches wrong. Fixed that.

Okay, now it shows up as the Gamecube disc as it should, but when I start it it just black screens.

Swiss does not support the wii, sorry. You have to use the stock firmware.

How can I revert back to the original firmware if I can't run an ISO from the WASP?

Woah hold on, swiss works fine on the Wii afaik, don't go messing with the wasp firmware just yet. I hooked mine up to my Wii a while back and it booted to the swiss menu/file browser just fine. It was a RVL-101 though, so I couldn't test if it "worked" or not because no gamecube controller ports.
