Battery protection circuits in parallel

Hey everyone. Im building a N64 portable and have a question.

I have 2x camcorder battery packs (BP-915) Each one is 7.4v, 2000mAh. Each one comes with its own BPC.

Can I safely wire these in parallel? I have never wired 2 battery protection circuits in parallel.

I have seen this done before in other N64 portables, such as bacman's infamous portable, but I just want to be sure.

I have no experience with this but I'm going to say it should work as long as your charger can provide enough amperage.
