    Well I figured out the problem with the old board, I severed some traces up by the cartridge slot. I got a new board but I am taking this project to college with me to finish it there... Unfortunately I didnt finish it within my deadline. It will get done, its just on hold right this minute.

    OK! New update! I somehow fried the board, not entirely sure how. Tomorrow I am going to grab a new board and redo all the wiring, its going to kinda suck but will be worth it in the end when I have my portable. Will update soon.

    I was thinking that, but there is no sound and no picture but the screen will turn on like a composite video cable was connected and disconnected in a second and a half. all that shows is a black screen like its about to start but then doesnt.

    This 5v line: I am not getting anything out of it, I put 12v into it but get nothing out and my n64 will not boot. What do/did I do?

    Help!! My n64 was working fine, but now all the sudden it doesnt get full power! The n64 powers on, but when I put my multimeter on the 5v line it doesn't give anything out. Is it a short or something? I have no idea what to do... My n64 portable is almost done and of course this has to happen...

Final assembly started today! put some switches at the bottom of the case, and got everything *almost* wired. just waiting for the batteries to come in the mail tomorrow and i will be pretty much done. I had to put the screen a little below the controls, but it doesn't really bother me all...
