It's fine. I'm not so worried about it.

And no but some people need drives to transfer data from floppies to CD's.

Yes, frequently.



Aside from cool flax like that, it's much easier to make a homebrew operating system boot from a floppy than anything else. Even today computers are still happiest booting from them.
